A time for change

Hey again.

It’s been a while.

A lot has happened :)

I could go into many tangents about what’s happened since fall 2024, but those all deserve their own time. For now, I just want to introduce you to a new space — my space: Barely Processed. She has been my passion project these past couple of weeks, and she is finally ready to meet all of you. I’m leaving my first blog post up for the sake of documentation, but this site was originally a project for a class I was in during fall quarter 2024. She felt corporate, stiff, and just not me. It has been time for a rebrand for a while.

After some solo traveling and heading into this new year, I’ve been practicing mindfulness and reflection a lot in my life, and I realized that delving into more creative projects (and just generally, things that excite me more) is something I want to commit more time to. I would even say it’s something I need to do. I’ve been going through a lot of transitions lately — new medications, grad school, possible career shifts, the new presidency, to name a few. But through these changes, I have spent a lot of time thinking about what is important to me, what values I hold, and how I am going to allow these values to develop in my life. I am hoping this blog is able to be that space for me.

I want this to be a space where I can grow my community, where I can openly discuss politics and other things I learn, and a place that feels safe to share my art and passions. I have so many big ideas for what Barely Processed is and could be — but for now, we start small. My blog is split up into three categories: Barely Processed, The World, My World, and Fragments & Lines. Barely Processed is basically my brain dump — all my thoughts, feelings, reflections, whatever’s on my mind, it’ll live there. The World, My World is where I’ll get into politics, my job, community stuff, and the bigger conversations happening in the world around me. And then there’s Fragments & Lines — my creative corner for photography, poetry, art conversations, and whatever else feels fun and artsy to share. These three spaces feel like different pieces of me, and I hope as they come together, they create something that feels honest, connected, and maybe even a little inspiring for whoever finds their way here.

I can’t wait to start sharing more here :) I hope you all enjoy whatever I throw your way!
